Notes

Publication predates copyright relations between the US and China (established 1992), so it was almost certainly an unauthorised translation.

The catalogue's ¥3.40 price and 19 cm size suggest paperback.

This translation was not used as the basis of the Chinese translation of the Second Edition, made in 2004 by 裘宗燕 (Qiu Zongyan) for China Machine Press, which also had a different title: 计算机程序的构造和解释 (Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs).

Notes

Also printed in 1991 and 1992; 1992 is sometimes suggested as the first printing. There is no known French translation of the Second Edition.

  1. The book was printed with a checksum-invalid ISBN-10, 2-7296-0231-5; the valid check digit is 3 (2-7296-0231-3). BnF catalogues the printed -5, while SUDOC records the corrected -3 and notes the -5 as erroneous.
